Events are planned throughout the year, including Chili at the Beach in June, Surf City Days in September, Halloween Fest in October, and Miracle on Main Street in November.
Surf City Nights
Surf City Nights is when three blocks of Main Street close to traffic and open to fun. Shops spread out with sidewalk sales, the streets fill with unique vendors, and the farmers set up with fresh, seasonal produce and flowers. A variety of performers provide hours of lively entertainment. The food court and other food vendors serve delicious food and snacks. It’s for strolling couples, friends’ and family gatherings. It’s when every restaurant tempts you with signature dishes, cheerful drinks and Surf City Nights specials. It’s the perfect place to find that special gift from the 90+ vendor booths.

HB Downtown including Main Street and 5th & PCH becomes HBoo Spookytown
Join us for a fun filled evening where we turn downtown into a Halloween extravaganza with family activities, and above all... trick-or-treating in the BID downtown zone on Main (and side-streets), PCH, the Pier, and 5th with businesses providing candy to children. Halloween costume contest for kids and dogs on 5th Street. Click below to print contestant forms.
•Creepy Critters to view and hold from Prehistoric Pets . •City of HB Police, Fire, Public Works and Marine Safety have equipment on Main St. and handout candy. Parks and Recreation will have activities.

Miracle on Main Street
It's the most wonderful time of the year when HB Downtown fills the 2nd block of Main Street with entertainment, holiday craft vendors, and refreshments. A special tree lighting ceremony with entertainment is also part of the magical evening.
Chili at the Beach
Celebrate the start of Summer and Father’s Day Weekend with a Chili/Salsa Tasting and Competition. Live bands and vendors fill three (3) blocks of Main Street, and the family-friendly Kids Zone is at 5th & PCH! Chili at the Beach benefits Boys & girls Club of Huntington Valley and held Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 11 am to 5 pm.
Surf city days & HE’E NALU ALOHA PIER FESTIVAL
A collection of special events comes to Main Street, 5th Street, Pierside Plaza, and the surf and sand on Saturday & Sunday, in September. Surf City Days and He’e Nalu Aloha Pier Festival is a weekend where locals and visitors engage in their favorite activities as both - participants and spectators. It includes music, vendors, and island food at Pier Plaza (Saturday - Sunday), Surfboard Demo Day with HSS (First block of Main St. Saturday), Volleyball (Saturday - Sunday), Dory Boat Races (Sunday afternoon), City Surf Contest (Saturday - Sunday), Old Skool Skateboarding (Saturday 9-4 on 5th St), and the Kowabunga Van Klan (Saturday on Main St). It is always a great weekend to end the official summer season in downtown HB.
